Premature weed seeds

Peace all, im new to dgc and am a new grower. I made some seeds off season outdoors. I harvested them early so I could reveg the mom. The premature seeds actually popped but their first true leaves had muted lines and serrations. The second set of leaves are growing with better definition now. My question is can a premature cannabis seed grow into its full genetic potential? Or will it always be less then what it COULD have been?

ps. I just watched when you had Colin from ethos on and wish I did earlier. Apparently I didn’t have to harvest my seeds early at all. I’m pulling off ripe seeds as the plant is revegging. Thank you for all you guys do.

Before you buy, you need to understand that genetics are a very important factor in your overall health, but you can change it based on your lifestyle habits. The effort that the grower puts in after the harvest plays an important role in the overall well-being of the weed. You want the weed that was properly cared for, trimmed, and processed otherwise it won’t get you the high you want.

If you’re going to try growing with seeds, check on their viability first. Seeds that are dark in color are best. Whole dark, mottled seeds are mature and ready to plant, but the lighter, softer or cracked seeds are not as viable for successful germination . The image below is an example of healthy looking cannabis seeds that should be viable.

Low quality pot won’t give you the high you want, but it might give you a headache and some sleepy vibes. This usually has a lot of stems in it, leaves, and even seeds . If you notice that the weight of the weed you’re purchasing is more than you expected it’s not because your dealer is your friend. it’s probably because you have low quality weed with seeds.

Before You Buy

When you purchase your weed from a qualified vendor you’ll have the opportunity to smell it, feel it and to walk away knowing that you didn’t get a seedy deal. All of this will make your monetary investment well worth every dollar, as you will achieve the quantity and quality you are looking for.

That said, visual cues might not be enough to evaluate your weed 100% but it can help you to conduct at best a preliminary inspection before you buy.

Saving the Seeds

The term sinsemilla is derived from the Spanish words “sin” (meaning “without”) and “semilla” (meaning “seed”) to mean as stated, without seed. This word has been associated with seedless cannabis flower since the 1970’s in North America but there is some evidence of it dating back further to countries like India! To clear up a few myths; sinsemilla is NOT a strain or genetics. It’s a female cannabis plant that has not been exposed to male plants (aka not fertilized).

Before we get into the nitty gritty, let’s cover some basics. Seeds are what you get after pollination occurs. Cannabis flower (buds) are produced from the female plant. If you find seeds in your bud, that means the female cannabis plant came into contact with some pollen from the male plant, which results in your plant getting fertilized and producing seeds.
