On Monday night, policemen in San Jose received a call alerting them to “suspicious noises” which prompted them to visit a Union City Grow House where they halted an attempted robbery. The officers also seized 500 plants along with all of the grow equipment, guns, and face-masks.
Two of the would-be-thieves were arrested and a third suspect is on the limb. This seizure is the latest in a long string of similar raids made on grow homes in the San Jose area. While growers are certainly aware of the risk of large-scale operations, it’s pretty crummy way to lose your crop–and investment–like this.
It’s obviously a huge blow to any grower to lose this amount of plants. While we’re thankful the police stopped the robbery, it seems pretty unnecessary for them to shut down this operation before knowing more about it.
The robbers certainly forgot to read the 11th commandment, which clearly states: Thou shalt not covet thy neighbors trees. And it’s a shame all of these plants are now null because of a few bad seeds.
